Description

Our client is now recruiting for a Shipping & Logistics Administrator

This is a contract role through Manpower - 12 months renewable contract

Roles & Responsibilities.

  • Make sure that all general procedures and instructions issued by the Project Manager are followed.

  • If necessary, propose corrections and adjustment to procedures and instructions depending on lessons learned further to the first shipments. Coordinate with procurement to collect information and documents requested for shipping purposes

  • Manage and follow the shipment of general cargo’s with the nominated Logistics Service Provider from the place of collection up to the place of delivery.

  • Manage and follow the shipment of abnormal loads with the nominated Logistics Service Provider with the support and under the supervision of the Project procurement Manager.

  • In coordination with the Project procurement Manager, issue and send the request for quotation to the Service Provider for additional services not included in the transport contract, always in accordance with sourcing rules.

  • Report any additional risk or opportunity to the Project procurement Manager.

  • Select the most suitable way of transport as per instructions received from the PM and budget constraints.

  • Report to the Project procurement Manager / Project manager before taking any action or making any decision leading to budget deviation.

  • Request for Quotation to Transport Service Providers for using the templates and following the Company’s sourcing rules.

  • Keep the shipment progress report and the cost follow-up up to date and make them available to the Project procurement Manager and the PM at any time.

  • Make sure that the shipping documents are properly and timely issued by the Logistics Service Provider, prepare and/or collect other shipping documents for import customs clearance or payment purposes and dispatch them properly and timely as per the procedure defined by the Project procurement Manager.

  • In case of Transport damages, ensure that proper action is taken by all parties to protect Client's interest and rights towards third parties. Follow GE process to submit the complete claim file to Insurers.

  • At project completion of the project and in coordination with the Project procurement Manager, present the final Logistics assessment to the PPM/PM including: Service Provider appraisal, final transport budget at completion with cause analysis if any deviations, return of experience on strategy, shipments and procedures.

  • Follow all logistics processes & use of Logistics Tools.


Key Performance Indicators:

  • On-time delivery of specified shipment as per project needs

  • On-time release of shipping documents

  • Savings and budget compliance

  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting.

  • Adherence to the global processes and IT Tools for transport sourcing and execution,

  • Works as per the Client's the spirit & the letter Integration
